Wrapping up Design for AOKCAT

The new training facility will be a pivotal piece of infrastructure for AOKCAT in Russellville.

January 4, 2021

For over a year, HTW has been working with the The Arkansas/Oklahoma Carpenter Apprenticeship Training & Trust Fund (AOKCAT) to develop plans for their new training facility in Russellville.

In comparison to their current facility, the biggest asset of the new building is the added space for classroom and hands-on training. The facility will include classrooms that feature state-of-the-art technology, training space, and administrative space for local offices.

“The main advantage of this new training center will be having more space for training. It’s like moving from a hotel to a new house. We started in a small, two-room facility and moved to the current location, and now we’re moving to a new building that’s more than double that size,” said Ed Wright, Training Director.

Construction is scheduled to begin Q1 2021.
